Fillers involve injecting gel under the skin. While those injections can make many patients nervous, our fillers contain lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, to help reduce any discomfort during your treatment.

Before your treatment, you’ll have a consultation with our specialist. During that consultation, we’ll discuss whether cosmetic fillers are the right choice for you and which areas we can target with those fillers.

During the treatment, we will numb the area with an anesthetic and inject a small amount of filler underneath your skin in those targeted areas. Your appointment time will vary depending on the treatment area and how much filler you’re getting.

Since cosmetic fillers are nonsurgical and noninvasive, you’ll be able to return to your normal schedule after leaving our medical spa.

Depending on the area(s) you’re targeting and the type of filler, an appointment can take anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes.

Since we’re injecting gel directly under your skin to fill in deeper areas around your nose and mouth, you’ll start to notice results right away. As any swelling or redness subsidies over the next few days, you’ll notice the results even more.

When those fillers start to dissolve, anywhere from six to 18 months, you can schedule a touch-up appointment.

Both Restylane® and JUVÉDERM® are types of facial fillers that target deep set lines around your nose and mouth. Both of these fillers contain hyaluronic acid to help plump the skin and fill those deep wrinkles. Where these fillers vary is in the areas of the face they can target.

There are different types of JUVÉDERM®, depending on which area you’re looking to target. Some fillers are designed for the mouth area, including the lips, while other fillers will add volume to the cheeks. JUVÉDERM® XC formulas contain lidocaine to help decrease discomfort.

Restylane® fillers are designed to smooth lines around your mouth while adding volume to the cheeks and enhancing the lips. Restylane® can also be used around the eyes and on the back of the hand. Like with JUVÉDERM® XC, Restylane® Lyft contains lidocaine to decrease comfort.

Restylane® is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own naturally produced hyaluronic acid. This helps to visibly correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the lines that run from your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corners of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines).

Additionally, Restylane® and Restylane® Silk are FDA-approved for lip enhancement in patients over the age of 21 and are uniquely formulated to give your lips fullness and definition.

JUVÉDERM® contains a modified hyaluronic acid, derived from a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. This gel is gently injected by your healthcare professional under the skin using a fine needle. To help reduce discomfort, the injection contains a common anesthetic called lidocaine.

Over time, your skin changes. There are several different types of facial lines that form around your nose and mouth. These include the parentheses lines, vertical lip lines, corner lines, and marionette lines. As you age, these lines may become more noticeable.

Additionally, your skin loses elasticity and moisture over time. This normal aging process, plus environmental factors like sun exposure, causes different facial lines to form, including moderate to severe wrinkles and folds.

JUVÉDERM® XC is an injectable gel, offering a nonsurgical treatment to help target those fine lines and wrinkles.
